• If they say the lift is imported, check whether the lift is really  fully imported from the country they claim it is from. Terms like “Italian technology” or “German technology” does not mean you are getting a lift fully manufactured in Italy or Germany.
• Is the manufacturing company of the lift qualified and ISO-certified? Ask for the quality assurance certificates.
• Will the lift be equipped with some kind of emergency device to prevent you from being trapped in the lift in case of a power blackout?
• Does the lift have a back-up device in case the primary emergency device fails?
• What would happen if you were to get trapped in the lift for reasons other than a power blackout?
• Will the lift allow remote diagnostics so faults can be diagnosed even from the company’s main office? 

Absolutely! Do view and test any lift in your shortlist before making a decision. Only by testing the lift will you experience first hand if there is any noise or vibration in the lift. Not all lifts offer a quiet and smooth ride even if the glossy brochure promises that.
